Festivals of Troy - August
Feast of Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Troia.
Feast of seafarers, the first allusions go back to 1758. However, only in the last years of the century. A clear reference of the party as of fishermen, a vocation that still remains today (in Costa Azul, "Festivals, Fairs and Pilgrimages - Routes on the Costa Azul").
Fishermen and their families celebrate life and their people in this traditional pilgrimage.
The festival joins the two banks of the river Sado. Setúbal, from where the fishing community that promotes the festival originates, and Tróia (Grândola county), where the chapel that houses the image of the Lady of the Rosary of Troia during the festivity period is found.
It is in the Caldeira de Troia, right by the sands bordering the Sado, that the partygoers settling there, camping during the festivals, as is tradition.
Religious ceremonies, traditional games, dances and campuses are included in the program. It is also in the sands of the caldera, next to the ruins of the old Cetóbriga, that on Sunday morning, a solemn mass is celebrated followed by a procession around the chapel. At night, one can watch the fireworks from the Caldeira.
The highlight of the party is Monday with the procession by sea, fitting the boat better decorated, the privilege of carrying the image followed by the other boats, also decked out, crossing the Sado at the beginning and the closing of the parties. They are unique moments of magic and beauty.

Monday august 13 - Tour, accompanying part of the procession and blessing of the boats next to the Garden of Beira Mar. A Muscatel of Honor will be served.
